The new HTC Hero
I recently saw that Sprint had finally joined the Android bandwagon and was able to procure two Android-based phones for their service. I decided to purchase the HTC Hero and thus far am pretty happy with it. Below is quick review of a 1 day use. Software...

The Death of Office Accounting
Microsoft reported today that they will no longer be continuing the development or distribution of Office Accounting software package. Can’t say we didn’t see this one coming. It’s pretty obvious they were trying to get into the QuickBooks market and...

My thoughts on mobile operating systems...
Sick and tired of Windows Mobile on my Mogul. It's slow. It's designed for a stylus, not my thumb. On the plus side, I like the fact I can write applications for the phone in a very advanced development environment (e.g. Visual Studio 2008), do...

Calling Vista by a new name might be appropriate...
Microsoft released a website recently posting reaction videos of people they had asked to preview a new version of Windows called Mojave. Only this was simply Windows Vista they were actually previewing. The point being to show that people had misconceptions...

Windows Mobile 6.1 - Grade C-
It seems like Microsoft is only partially getting the hint these days. Perhaps they've lost their fight to be the best in every market; innovators in every respect. Maybe I'm just overly jaded by their mistakes. Vista, Mobile 6, and TagSpace to...

Windows 2008 Released, I don't care...
Seriously, I really don't. Probably the first time since Windows NT 3.51 Since I've said that. Sad really, but the only thing I would even consider caring about is IIS 7.0, and I'm so fed up with writing web applications, I don't even...

.NET Framework Library Source Code now available - ScottGu's Blog
Scott reports that Microsoft has released the .NET source code w/ developer comments. If you are a true geek it's time to rig up your VS to use the remote symbol library of course. Sucks we can't browse the code though... hmmm. .NET Framework...

$8,000-per-gallon printer ink leads to antitrust lawsuit
I find it ridiculous that these companies can get away with the insane prices for computer ink. If they didn't bother with all the electronics B.S. they put into a cartridge we wouldn't have to pay so much for one. My all-in-one Lexmark printer...

Having Fun with Google Maps API
I've been having fun at work here using the Google Maps API. Tasked to build a website for the TSA, I had to come up with coordinates for most major U.S. airports, map them accordingly, and color code the icons depending on their status. Sounds like...

My work is blocking access to my website!
So I was just testing out some software this morning and decided to enter in my URL like so: http://www.robkennedy.com/ with the beginning www. notation. When I clicked the link I was taken to our Websense blocking screen: Obviously this is total BS!...

Tagspace Beta broken
Well it's been about a week now since I've been unable to get into my Tagspace account. I know it's beta software and all I think the Microsoft guys could at least put a better support/reporting mechanism in place other than a one sentence...
